Getting your hands on the new Korra skin in Fortnite means you’ll need to complete a series of quest, one of which asks you to emerge from water. We’ve detailed how to execute this task to save you the trouble.

Marking the start of the Avatar x Fortnite collab, Korra from the animated series Legend of Korra is now available in the game. With a new skin and secondary style on offer, you’ll have to work to complete a slew of new Battle Pass quests to unlock the Avatar’s outfit. Many players are having trouble collecting Mythic items for one of these objectives, but others are having a hard time completing a mission that requires you to emerge from water. Here’s how to master Korra’s Waterbending abilities and complete the task at hand in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2.

How Do You Emerge from the Water in Fortnite?

Korra has just arrived in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, and you can unlock the Avatar’s new skin by completing several quests. One asks you to emerge from water, an objective that should be easy for the the master of all four elements to handle. That said, this task can prove rather tricky, as some players have reported a bit of buggy behavior while attempting the quest. Luckily, the requirements aren’t all that complicated.

To effectively emerge from the water, you’ll need to swim deep beneath the water’s surface and use the Dolphin Dive mechanic to leap upward. While you may be able to finish the quest by simply jumping to the surface, it looks like the quest was intended to encourage diving. If you can’t manage to trigger its completion by jumping out of the water, follow these steps:

  1. Head for a body of water and start swimming.
  2. With some speed going, press X (PlayStation) or A (Xbox) to dive in, then again to dive back up.
  3. When you emerge from the water’s surface, the quest will be triggered.
