Are There Missable Trophies and Items in Final Fantasy 16?
It is possible to miss trophies on players’ first playthrough of Final Fantasy 16, though it depends on how players manage their inventories for it to matter. Most of the trophies are story-based that cannot be passed over, obtaining upgrades, or based on specific combat challenges.
The one missable trophy from the list would be Half Past Twilight. This trophy requires players to craft the legendary sword Gotterdammerung. Crafting this sword requires one Ragnarok sword, one Primitive Battlehorn, three Orichalcum, and two Darksteel.
While the items can be earned by completing the Blacksmith’s Blues side quests, it is possible to sell these items. There is only one Ragnarok sword in the game, so selling it would mean that players would not be able to craft the Gotterdammerung and get the trophy associated with it.
Players who do not sell these items or any resources at all will not miss earning the Half Past Twilight trophy. Although, it is not the end of the world for players who do sell these items, even by accident.
Getting all the trophies in Final Fantasy 16 requires players to play through the game again in the New Game+ mode under the “Final Fantasy” difficulty. So, players who miss the trophy the first time around will be able to get it on the second playthrough without feeling that time has been wasted.
