What Are Eikons in Final Fantasy 16?
Eikons are the equivalent of summons seen in previous Final Fantasy games in the franchise. These are giant monsters or mythical beings that can be summoned during battles and are controlled by human characters called Dominants.
They can be used in normal battles to cast spells. Each one offer different spells and can be switched by pressing the L2 button. There are also certain points in the game where these summons will fight each other in giant set-piece battles with different gameplay features than in regular battles.
