Epic Games Accidentally Reveals Upcoming Fortnite Update Ahead of Time

Accidents happen, and in gaming, they sometimes result in accidental leaks. And gamers love them because having a sneak peek at something that’s coming is always great. Fortnite accidentally leaked what’s coming up on July 4 for the Summer Escape update. Courtesy of iFireMonkey on Twitter, we know in advance that we have to get our ice cream spoons ready.
Epic Games Leaks Some Summer Escape Details in Fortnite
In their tweet, iFireMonkey rumours that the Firework Flare Gun and the Ice Cream Consumables will be enabled in time for July 4. Just in time for fireworks for those who celebrate the date.
As mentioned in the tweet, while those items will be enabled, that also means that the normal Flare Gun will be disabled for the duration. The fans in the comments seem to be edging on the positive side for these news. “So glad they’re doing this instead of making the Flare Gun a seasonal weapon” says user AlinaPixels, for instance.
If previous celebrations are anything to go by, that means that the NPC Lil’ Whip will be handing those ice creams around. He’s always been a fan favorite, and players are excited to see him again. “Yes! Yes! Yes! LIL WHIP ice cream!!!” is just one more jubilant reaction to his return. The comments are filled with joy and happiness for the ice-creamy Fortnite NPC.
While everyone’s excited about the leaked event changes, some players are still asking about updates regarding the Pump Shotgun. You can’t please everyone, and there doesn’t seem to be any more news forthcoming for now. But at least we can be happy about the new consumables and the Flare Gun, right?
