Diablo 4 Season 2 is finally here, and players can now experience all the Season of Blood has to offer. Heads up: its mostly vampires. As players follow an all-new questline, they now have the ability to acquire Vampiric Powers along the way. Activated by pacts, each will appear in the designated Powers tab of your inventory. However, it’s not explicitly stated what you should do to go about unlocking these new abilities, which are initially inaccessible. Here’s how to unlock Accursed Touch, just one of the new Vampiric Powers in the Season of Blood.
How to Unlock Accursed Touch in Diablo 4 Season 2
To unlock the Accursed Touch power in Diablo 4 Season 2, you’ll need to reach Tier Nine on the Hunter’s Acclaim Board. Of course, acquiring the ability isn’t so cut-and-dry, as fulfilling the prerequisite will require some work. This is one of the powers you cannot just unlock with Potent Blood (but you can upgrade it as usual).
You’ll first need to earn enough Hunter’s Acclaim by defeating enemies and completing other tasks within the confines of Blood Harvest zones. In the Season of Blood, the best way to do this is to complete Whispers, which tend to appear in numbers. To find Whispers that reward you with Hunter’s Acclaim, look for those marked with a green leaf icon on your map.
Aside from this, you can also rack up Hunter’s Acclaim by killing Blood Seekers, burning corpse piles, setting prisoners free, and killing powerful elite enemies.
Once you’ve earned enough Hunter’s Acclaim to reach the ninth tier, head over to the nearest Acclaim Board to claim the Accursed Touch ability. You shouldn’t have too much trouble finding these boards, as quest markers will point you in the right direction. That said, you can also spot these boards on your map if you need to set a waypoint.

Effects of Accursed Touch
Accursed Touch is a Vampiric Power in Season of Blood, that needs 6 Divinity Pacts (it doesn’t require any Ferocity or Eternity Pacts) on your armor to activate. Its effects are:
- Lucky Hit: Up to a 44% chance to inflict Vampiric Curse on enemies. Enemies with the Vampiric Curse have a 15% chance to spread it to other surrounding enemies.
- Accursed Souls deal 200% increased damage
Just as a reminder – Vampiric Curse: Killing an enemy affected by your Vampiric Curse stores their soul. Casting a Defensive, Macabre, or Agility Skill will unleash stored accursed souls to attack nearby enemies. You can hold up to 8 souls.
