Season 2 has brought many improvements and new content to Diablo 4, including a whole new vampiric story with its own questline. To access that story, you have to have made a Seasonal Character, as only they can partake in the new content. Then, starting in the “Blood Money” quest you get bitten by a vampire bat. With that, you unlock your Vampiric Powers, and fight your way to the mastermind of the whole vampiric operation, Lord Zir. How to Complete the “A Serpent Cornered” Quest
To complete the “A Serpent Cornered” quest, you must fight through the City of Ancients and defeat Lord Zir. It is a linear yet lengthy dungeon, with relatively easy opponents, but with a couple of twists. The first one is an invulnerable Blood Orb. It follows you around the dungeon and attacks you in various ways. This depends on the distance between you and the Orb. Besides the Orb, you’ll have two mini-boss battles. The first will be against two powerful Bloodseekers and the second against three Bloodseekers. Once you are done with them, you will reach the Sanguine Throne where Lord Zir will be waiting for you. When you (hopefully) are finished with him the quest is complete, you will get a ton of powerful loot and a Metamorphosis Vampiric Power.
How to Start “A Serpent Cornered” Quest in Diablo 4
First, you have to have finished the “Battle of Fear and Faith” quest and have completed Chapter 3 of Season Journey. Then make your way to the City of Ancients to meet up with Erys. Some players report a bug where they can’t find it on the map. Head on to The Darkened Way in the southern section of Fractured Peaks. That will lead you to the City of Ancients and Erys. Enter the dungeon and be ready for a lot of fighting.
