Many games use Seasons to add and try out some new stuff, patch things up, and bring balance changes. Diablo 4 is no exception, so, how many Seasons will be there in Diablo 4? Let’s try and find out.
Season 1 of Diablo 4 experienced a drop in the number of players, but Season 2 is here to fix that. Both seasons offered new storylines, and new unique mechanics (Season 1 had Malignant Hearts and Season 2 brings Vampiric Powers). But how many Seasons will we have?
How Many Seasons Are There In Diablo 4
Blizzard announced that the Seasons will be released quarterly, which gives us four seasons a year. Each season will function as a fresh start for players, as only Seasonal Characters will be able to access the new content. The fresh start idea is also useful for the devs, so they can implement new balance changes and tweaks without disrupting the current meta. When the season ends, all Seasonal Characters will be moved to the Eternal Realm, making way for the next Season’s Characters.
Until now, we got four Seasons in Diablo 4:
- Season 1 – Season of the Malignant
- Season 2 – Season of Blood
- Season 3 – Season of Construct
- Season 4 – Season of Loot Reborn
- Requires Online Subscription
What Will Be In Every Season
Every season will bring a different story, theme, mechanic, etc. But some things are the same for every season and those are:
- Season Journey – a special Achievement tracker, focused only on the current Season, rewarding in-game bonuses, like Aspects and loot.
- Season Pass – this has become a staple of many games. Season Pass in Diablo 4 mainly offers cosmetics, in three Tiers: Free Season Pass, Premium, and Accelerated Season Pass. Besides cosmetics, there is some premium currency and XP boosts.
That is all we know about Seasons in Diablo 4. We will update this article as new information comes along.
