If you’re jumping into the world of Diablo 4, we highly recommend you keep an eye out for shrines hidden in every region of the game. Although they might seem like just random structures at the start, they’re so much more.
We’ll be going through the locations of every shrine you can find in the first area of Diablo 4, the Fractured Peaks, and briefly explaining why you should search for these shrines.
All Shrine Locations in Fractured Peak
Without further ado, below, you’ll find a picture marking the shrines in the Fractured Peaks area of Diablo 4.
The thing about shrines in Diablo 4 is that not only can they be found while traveling in the open world, but you’re also very likely to come across them when exploring dungeons. You’ll find that some dungeons have not one but two shrines inside of them to give you boons.
Many players have already started using the dungeon shrines as a way to beat the Butcher, a mini-boss that only spawns in dungeons.

What do Shrines Do in Diablo 4?
As mentioned above, shrines in Diablo 4 give you boons. To be more specific, depending on the type of shrine you come across, you’ll gain a boost for exactly 30 seconds. There are eight types of shrines you can come across in this game.
- Artillery Shrine (your Attack Speed is increased, and all attacks summon holy arrows)
- Blast Wave Shrine (you periodically explode, damaging enemies around you)
- Channeling Shrine (your skills cost no resource and have reduced cooldown)
- Conduit Shrine (you can shock and surge through enemies)
- Greed Shrine (enemies drop Gold when hit, and you automatically pick up Gold from farther away)
- Lethal Shrine (all of your skills deal more damage and Critically Strike)
- Protection Shrine (you are Invulnerable and Unstoppable)
Additionally, all of these shrines can be cursed if you come across them in one of the many dungeons in Fractured Peaks. A cursed shrine doesn’t give you the boost straight away. Instead, you’ll be given 60 seconds to slay three waves of monsters.
If you do, you’ll be rewarded with the original boon you would get and a radiant chest.
Now, there are a couple of things you should keep in mind. For starters, the duration of the upgrades you get from every shrine is 30 seconds. Secondly, unlike previous Diablo entries, every player has to interact with the shrine individually to get the boosts.
Finally, shrine effects do not stack, so you can’t interact with a shrine twice and expect to get double the boost in stats. Of course, new shrines are constantly being discovered, and when other areas become available, players can look for and interact with even more shrines.
