Cult of the Lamb is set to receive its next major content update, aptly titled Sins of the Flesh, on January 16. The 2022 roguelike title from Massive Monster seamlessly blends the whimsical and the macabre in an action-adventure setting, in which you’re tasked with repaying your debts to a mysterious stranger who put a stop to your untimely demise. As a result, your job is to gather followers in the name of your savior. Luckily, the upcoming update is primed to bring with it an even better means to recruit loyal cultists — but at what cost? Is Cult of the Lamb: Sins of the Flesh Free DLC?
Back in November of 2023, the team at Massive Monster announced Sins of the Flesh, a free content update for Cult of the Lamb arriving on January 16. For all intents and purposes, it’s essentially free DLC.
The so-called “sex update” is set to bring new features and stories to the game, including the new Sin resource and the ability to hatch eggs and raise Follower offspring. Although, it’s worth noting the blind retrieval of eggs seems to fall more in line with the breeding aspect of Pokémon titles rather than those filled with graphic fan service.
In any case, the development team has embraced the colloquial term, going on to tease additional artwork and details about the new feature in a series of X (formerly Twitter) posts. Despite quips made by the team, however, there’s still a lot more to come with this month’s major update.
