As you level up and make progress in the main story in Coral Island, you’ll gain access to all kinds of new areas that were once barred by vines and other obstacles. This gives way to even more features for players to interact with, like the generous spirit that can sometimes be seen lurking in a cemetery on the western side of the island. As mysterious as the ghost of Starlet Town may be, perhaps the most thought-provoking location in the game remains the cellar found outside your farmhouse. So, how do you unlock the doors? Can You Unlock the Cellar in Coral Island?

Unfortunately, there’s currently no way to unlock the cellar in the most recent version of Coral Island. The game spent a year in Early Access and was finally released in full back in November, but players remain unable to open the doors to the cellar outside their farmhouse.

While it has yet to be confirmed by developer Stairway Games, many have theorized that a future update might include a key to the door and allow players entry to the barred location. With no fixed release date for the next update, however, it’s tough to say when we could see changes like this made to the finished game.

What’s Inside the Cellar in Coral Island?

It’s not yet known exactly what’s inside the cellar in Coral Island. In fact, this area of the farmhouse could very well be purely aesthetic. Without access to the location, we can’t say for sure what lies behind the doors.

That said, fans of the game have made their best guesses as to what might be found inside. Theories range from increased storage to a full-blown wine cellar. Perhaps we might learn more about the room’s purpose and contents with the next update for the game, which has yet to be announced.
