It’s finally here! Well, for some lucky players in New Zealand, at least. As for the rest of the devoted Call of Duty players, the only thing you can do is read the first reviews and wait a little bit longer for Black Ops 6 to drop where you live. Let’s see what awaits you.
Black Ops 6 Gets Great First Reviews
The majority of the initial reviews were extremely positive. So far, it seems that the players enjoy the game thoroughly. Even the much-dreaded matchmaking and Omnimovement are completely acceptable at this stage.
Many players pointed out how they loved the maps and even Campaign. One player, LordXbox3, added: “I’m only a couple of levels into the campaign but I’m enjoying it. Thought it was cool having Nine Inch Nails playing in Sev’s van”.
Squirrel0891 stated: “I’m liking it a lot. The maps are cool. There are some bigger ones sprinkled in like Red Card. The guns feel great. This is a small thing but I like the new cook timer on frags. I just genuinely like that all the maps are new. It feels like it’s been so long since we got what felt like a NEW(er) product”.
Bearcatz44 noted: “Played the first mission of the campaign on regular difficulty and it’s no cakewalk. Excited to solve the safehouse puzzles and earn more perks/upgrades hopefully making it easier. I don’t like that armor plates are in the campaign because my OCD wants to refill it after every hit lol”.
Of course, let’s not forget about the zombies. Well, so far players loved them. BecomingJudasnMyMind said: “Oh. My. God. The new zombies are great. This is the version of zombies I’ve been wanting and waiting for to come back. We’re so f**king back boys”.
Some Call of Duty Players Are Underwhelmed
As you may have expected, there were some negative first reviews of Call of Duty Black Ops 6, as well. If you haven’t had the chance to play the game, it’s important to remember that not everyone enjoys the same things. Even though the true majority of players had nothing but words of praise, some players had different opinions.
TriicepsBrah gave probably the harshest review. This player noted: “Worst cod on release I’ve ever played. I loved the beta, but it just feels awful now. Invisible enemies (if you’re laying down or not moving), constant spawn traps on every map, (the kind where they are mounted on cover and holding the pixels where your head will spawn)”.
However, some players, like Lazy-Fly9911, recognized the good and the bad in the game and gave probably the most realistic reviews. This player said: “Likes: weapons, load out options, amount of attachments. Dislikes: packet burst, spawn trapping seems horrific, camping, movement feels worse than the beta, and same with aim”.
