The Black Ops 6 beta has had great success with the players. Unfortunately, the players will have to wait for a while until they get a chance to play the game again. The Black Ops 6 developers have made a somewhat controversial decision not to release the Campaign in early access, which left some Call of Duty players sad and confused.
Was Omitting the Early Access a Bad Idea for Black Ops 6?
The release date is set for October 25, leaving the players who enjoyed the beta asking for more. Usually, Activision gives early access to Campaign Modes, but they’ve made an exception with Black Ops 6. Even though the fans were aware that there had to be a reason for that decision, some of them pointed out that releasing the Campaign and Multiplayer on the same day was a recipe for disaster.
The players who enjoyed playing the Campaign were mostly frustrated and worried that this Mode would not fulfill their wants. MeatballEddie noted: “I just hope they aren’t holding it back because it’s trash. I’ve been looking forward to the campaign and if it’s as bad as MW2/MW3, I’ll be sad”.
Other players, like savage_reaper, claimed this was actually a good decision. This player explained: “The campaign was released early last year and people slammed it. So before the game even launched, there were so many negative reviews of the game. They don’t want this to happen again”.
Call of Duty Players Claim They Won’t Play the Campaign
Unfortunately, one thing is for sure, not having early access to the Campaign in Black Ops 6 will most likely mean that Call of Duty players will ignore this Mode for a while. As you know, Multiplayer is by far more popular, and most of the players used the early access to the Campaign Mode as a warm-up for the real deal in previous iterations of the game.
Peachiest_Panther admitted: “I can’t play the campaign knowing MP is available. They should have given us early access”. Another player, chakobee, added: “I’d rather they did release it. It was nice to enjoy the Campaign during that week without the urge to grind camos in MP”.
One Redditor explained: “I don’t see myself playing the Campaign for a while because I will be wanting to play the multiplayer and zombies. I think an early access Campaign would be 100% better because more people would play it”.
Come October 25, the players will have some really tough decisions to make. We’ll probably try splitting our time between the two Modes. As much as we enjoy Multiplayer, we have a feeling that Case‘s story might be worth the effort. How about you?
