There is nothing like an easter egg to raise the hype in a community, especially for a game like Call of Duty Black Ops 6, which isn’t due to drop in another couple of months. Devoted players managed to crack the code and find out more about the game.
How to Find the Black Ops Easter Egg?
Recently, the players noticed a QR code appeared in the message of the day. Once a player scans the code, they receive instructions to text CLEARANCE to a phone number (different countries, different phone numbers).
Once the player does so, they receive a redacted blueprint. This blueprint caused a lot of raised eyebrows, as it was unclear what it was for. Many players suggested that it was for a new weapon. Jerrygarciasnipple stated: “Looks like a new blueprint for the Jet Gun, kinda looks like a hybrid of the OG Jet Gun and MWZ Scorcher”.
Others jumped in and suggested it might be a blueprint for the Trial Machine. One player, BuilderLeagueUnited, noticed: “Reminds me of the computer in the T.A.R.D.I.S”.
Finally, some players discovered how to get an unredacted version of the blueprint. If you text the same phone number ZOMBIES, you’ll receive the unredacted version. The Organosilicate Aetherium Breeder Reactor confounded many fans.
According to the blueprint: “Project Janus Energy Research Division originally constructed the Terminus Island Aetherium Reactor to be the facility’s principal power source. Following the development of AMP technology, the “seeds” that AMPs gestate into fully productive biogalvanic crystalline life forms”.
Call of Duty Players Can’t Wait for the Game to Drop
Many Call of Duty players applauded the marketing team for this Black Ops 6 easter egg. It managed to raise the hype levels in the community and get the players talking and sharing their predictions for the game. One player, attackhamster42, noted: “They are going hard on the Zombies marketing and honestly, I’m here for it”.
Honestly, we adore this kind of creative marketing, and we can’t wait to find out how exactly the Organosilicate Aetherium Breeder Reactor fits into the storyline. October 25 is getting closer, so we all just have to be patient a while longer.
