The Steam Summer Sale is finally here, so we’ve gathered together our best picks to help sift through the hundreds of titles currently on offer. We’ve tried to make the list have a bit of something for everyone – whethe you’re into shooters, RPGs or just looking for a quick pick-up-and-play title.
The Summer Sale ends on July 13, so you’ve still got plenty of time to browse before making a decision. So, let’s not waste any more time – here’s are, what we think, are the best deals on the Steam Summer Sale.
Elden Ring
The Standard Edition can now be snapped up at a cool £34.99, while the Deluxe Edition now costs £45.49. We would recommend just opting for the latter edition here, especially if you’re looking to save cash. You can see the deals right here – but hurry as they end oon July 13, which is when the Steam Summer Sale ends.
For those new to the game, or wanting to try it out, Elden Ring puts you into a dangerous world with little of no sign-posting. Just like FromSoftware’s Dark Souls series, the onus is on the player to grind and discover – not giving up the first time you fail. It’s an incredibly satisfying experience, and one directly aimed at fans of Bloodborne or Sekiro but who wanted a less linear experience.
Dave the Diver
For looking to see what the fuss is about, MINTROCKET’s Dave the Diver can be netted for a 10% discount on the standard edition of the game, which can be picked up for a little over £15, while the Deluxe edition which includes the game and the Dave the Diver digital extra for a touch over £20. You can snap it up here
NieR: Automata
If you haven’t played this gem yet, then we strongly recommend it. Stunning visuals, truly epic worlds and can be yours for 50% off the RRP. You can pick it up right here
Just Cause 3
Probably one of the cheapest games on the sale, and still a lot of fun. Avalanche’s Just Cause 3 is a perfect title to sit down and just pick up and play. At a massive 75% off, and costing less than a cup of coffee, we think that’s a pretty great deal. You can grab it here
Sniper Elite 5
I’ve played this game extensively and while it’s not perfect, it certainly delivers when it comes to sniping. Don’t get too bogged into the close-quarters stuff, as this is not where the game shines. Instead, take your time and snipe enemies from afar. At 60% off, it’s a decent discount for a game that offers penty of things to do, and multiplayer. You can grab that here
Dead Space Remake
One of my favourite games growing up and now it’s been given the proper remastered treatement. Stunning visuals and rave reviews make this game an easy one to recommend. At 30% off, there’s a decent saving to be made here – and we would strongly recommend giving it a go. You can grab it here
Forza Horizon 5
Stunning racer, that’s simple to pick up and play and a lot of fun. The fifth outing builds on the last iterations and delivers a breath-taking experience, especially on PC. You can save 50% on it right now.
Dredge
Highly playable, rewarding and somewhat spooky, Dredge is a shining example of the talent coming through the indie scene. You captain a boat, and go out at night fishing only to wind up with some very strange locals. At less than £20, Dredge is a fantatsic bargain.
