What Are the Benefits of These Warzone 2 Sound Settings?

These volume settings are set to prioritize footsteps and weapon sounds over everything else. The Headphone Bass Boost setting makes footsteps very discernable, more so than any other mix.

Having music off lessens any extraneous noise, and the dialogue sound is turned to 50, as sometimes hearing enemy dialogue can be useful, but not as much as footsteps and effects.

Effects Volume 100 means that weaponry and bullets will be the primary sounds players hear, making it easier to pinpoint their location and origin.

Having proximity chat off will cut down the chances that enemy players hear you by accident if talking to a teammate. Party chat or another service like Discord will be the preferred method to cut down on noise enemies can hear.

The hit marker sound will be up to a player’s preference, as those that have played older CoD games may more quickly recognize some of the older hit marker sounds.

Finally, Reduce Tinnitus Sound is turned On. This reduces the effects of flashbangs and other explosives that cause ringing. The ringing will still be there so that players may accurately gauge how long the effect will last, but it will be nowhere near as piercing.

With these settings, players will be able to get the most out of their audio cues. Hearing footsteps first and being able to pick out gunshot origins are both useful skills, and these settings will give players the best chances to do just that.
