Bayonetta Origins follows Cereza on her journey to becoming Bayonetta. You will play as both the young witch and Cheshire, a demon possessing Cereza’s stuffed toy, as the pair ventures into the Avalon Forest to save Cereza’s mother.

In a Nintendo Direct released on February 8, 2023, Nintendo gave us an inside look at features we’ll see in Bayonetta Origins.
The video showcases the in-game battle style, which involves playing as both Cereza and Cheshire. To defeat foes, you must first bind enemies with Cereza’s powers. This then allows the demon, Cheshire, to take them down.
On your journey through Avalon Forest, you’ll also open paths by solving puzzles, gaining powers, and strengthening the abilities of both Cereza and Cheshire.
