In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, it’s very important to look for new gear for Basim. This is especially useful when it comes to weapon upgrades. One of the best ways to go about it is to find Gear Chests, which contain useful boosts to your character. Strewn about the vast city of Baghdad, these chests contain all sorts of gear upgrades for Basim. Early on in the game, you may be able to spot just such a Gear Chest in the Tabik Bazaar in Karakh. There is a way to get to it early, and we’ll explain how in this guide.
How to reach the Bazaar Gear Chest in Assassin’s Creed Mirage
To get to the Bazaar Gear Chest, you will first need to find it because the Bazaar is a pretty big location. There’s the sprawling market area, as well as houses with several floors, and even a bandit hideout at one of the roofs.
Head to Karakh in Tabik district, which is the southern portion of Baghdad. It’s best to enter from the eastern side of the zone. Keep going until you have a chance to turn right, then head that way until you see a chest icon on your compass. This is the Bazaar Gear Chest that you’re after. At this point, you can use Enkidu or Eagle Vision to see the exact location of the chest.
Make your way to the second floor of the building until you find a door barring your way. That is because this area is locked off until you progress further into the Main Quest of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. However, there is a way to circumvent that and get to the chest early.

How to get past the barred door and get the Bazaar Gear Chest
There is a way to get the door open with some old-fashioned Assassin’s Creed ingenuity. From the upper floor, cross over to the balcony on the other side of that room using the tightrope. Continue along the balcony until you spot a window on the far wall that gives you a view of the barred door.
The window is open just enough to slip the dagger through. Use your throwing dagger to target the bar that operates the door. You can use Eagle Vision to line up the shot or watch until the crosshair turns red. If you’re successful, the door will now be open.
Head back to the barred door and you’ll be able to enter into the newly open chamber. Note that there is a Heavy Guard patrolling the area, so make sure to evade him. The Bazaar Gear Chest will be close by, to the right.
Inside the chest, you will find the Abbasid Knight Dagger. This dagger is the same as your starting dagger damage-wise, but it has a useful special ability attached to it. The ability is called Resilient with the effect that when Basim’s health drops below 50%, his Damage Resistance will increase by 30%, making it great for early-game survivability.
