Armored Core 6: Fires Of Rubicon was released on August 24 for a variety of platforms: PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. This is the widest release from Elden Ring and Dark Souls developer FromSoftware in some time and is a much different game from the other titles.
The game will feature a multiplayer mode similar to previous Armored Core games, but will it support cross-platform multiplayer? Does Armored Core 6 Have Crossplay?
Unfortunately, Armored Core VI: Fires Of Rubicon does not have crossplay. The studio has shown off the single-player and multiplayer perks of the mecha combat title, but there is no option for crossplay in the game. That means that players can only play with others within the same platform.
It is possible that players in the same console family will be able to play with each other, Xbox Series X|S with Xbox One and PS4 with PS5, since only one copy is required to play across both generations. The studio did include cross-gen multiplayer with Elden Ring, so perhaps the same will happen for Armored Core 6.
Regardless, players on different, competing platforms will most likely not be able to play with each other, either in co-op or in PVP. The studio has also not said anything about cross-platform progression, but the answer might remain the same for that feature as well.
Will Armored Core 6 Have Cross-Platform Progression?
At the time of writing Armored Core 6 does not have cross-platform progression. That means that any progress that you have made in the game will be locked to the platform you’ve made it on. You’re not able to share your saves between different platforms that you game on. You’ll simply have to park your metaphorical mechs in the same place.
