A few weeks back I wrote a piece discussing the merits of sex and sexuality in gaming, in which I stated that depictions of sex and sexuality are OK in games, so long as they aren’t gratuitous and actually have some bearing on the plot. Well, this week has seen a fair bit of news floating about with regards to the ability of players to have same-sex relationships in various currently popular games, in particular BioWare’s Mass Effect 3.
