Are Games Becoming Too Expensive?

I was in town the other day, checking out the January sales and i decided to take a look in GAME to see if there were any good games on offer. I browsed the charts and i was shocked to see that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was listed as £49.99. Is this price justifiable?
