Dark Souls gets a 3D Dot Game treatement

FROM Software announces their next project; 3D Dark Souls Heroes. Not much is known right now other than it will be an action-adventure RPG based upon the Dark Souls mythology, but presented in the block style of 3D Dot Game Heroes. Naotoshi Zin, President of FROM Software, said "People have been asking for another 3D Dot Game Heroes, but we wanted to do something different this time with the IP. We feel that this merger will present some very exciting opportunities." 3D Dark Souls Heroes doesn't have a projected release date yet, but it could come as early as the Holiday season of 2012.
