PS3 Sales Up 250-300%
New figures for the week ending November 11, show that the recent prices cuts have worked a treat with more than 100,000 consoles sold in the US – up from and average of 30-40,000 in early October, before the price cuts and the new cut-price 40GB model. Sony CEO, Howard Stringer, said:
"It’s the breakthrough we’ve been anticipating. We’ve been holding our breath. Obviously, we’ve taken so much heat over the year on PS3. Finally, the turning point has been passed."
