"DeathSpank’s previous outings were entertaining jabs at modern-day RPGs and dungeon-crawlers, but after the first campaign I was a little tuckered out. His below-average intelligence was giggle-inducing at first but quickly began to wear on my nerves, as did all the thong-related humor. Let’s not forget the orphans. Oh, the orphans. While chopping through enemies was hugely satisfying, as was the long grind to leveling, near its final stages the only thing that kept me chugging through to the finish line was the sheer variety of enemies to mow down. I didn’t snap up the Thongs of Virtue adventure for this reason, and have skipped straight to The Baconing as my next journey with DeathSpank."
