PlayStation Vita Will Break-Even Or Be Profitable Day 1

According to Scott Rohde, VP of SCEA, Sony will not lose any money when it releases the PlayStation Vita. If true this is noteworthy because almost every notable console in the recent past has lost money when it was first launched. Even at the original price points that a lot of people felt where really high, Sony still lost money. In fact, Sony has lost money at launch on both the PS2 and the PS3, but apparently not with the PlayStation Vita.
