Android to Overtake Symbian This Year

Google’s Android operating system is expected to bypass Nokia’s Symbian this year. Overall sales of smartphones is expected to increase by 49.2% this year, which means that vendors will ship more than 450 million smartphones in 2011, compared to 303.4 million in 2010, according to new statistics from IDC.
