Palworld: Where to Find and Capture Kitsun

Wondering where you can find and catch Kitsun in Palworld? We have your answer here. Stick around for details about this Pal’s location and the best way to capture it.

Palworld features over 100 species of Pals that you can catch, train, and put to work at your base. While most Pals are easily found roaming about the landscape during the day, Pals like Kitsun only appear at night. While this Pal isn’t particularly rare in terms of its numbers, it can be exceedingly tough to track down, as it tends to be rather skittish. That said, you’ll need to come up with a foolproof strategy to capture this Fire-type Pal. Let’s break down Kitsun’s location and the best way to go about catching it in Palworld.

Where to Find Kitsun in Palworld

One of the toughest Pals to catch in Palworld, Kitsun only appears in a small, snow-capped portion of the Palpagos Islands at night. If you take a look at the in-game map, you’ll see a snowy area with a large lake at its center in the northeastern region — this is where you’ll find Kitsun. Before you head into this area, be sure to equip cold-resistant armor to weather the harsh conditions.

How to Catch Kitsun in Palworld

In order to catch Kitsun, you’ll first need to keep up with it. The best way to do this is to use a fast mount, such as Direhowl or Eikthyrdeer. This way, you should be able to keep pace with it long enough to attack and enter battle.

Kitsun spawns at Level 25, so you’ll want to make sure both you and your team have reached this level or higher to catch it. As a Fire-type, this Pal is weak to Water-type Pals and moves. Some great mid-game partner options include Penking and Azurobe. To maximize the catch rate, you can try using a stun baton in tandem with Hyper Spheres.

If you’re lucky, you might also be able to hatch Kitsun from a Scorching Egg. You’ll find various types of eggs scattered throughout the landscape, usually on high cliffs or along their base in tight spots. Keep your eyes peeled for eggs whenever you’re out exploring.

Is Kitsun a Mount in Palworld?

Once you’ve caught Kitsun, this Pal can be ridden as a ground mount. While it’s not one of the fastest mounts in the game, its movement speed can be improved with beneficial passive skills like Runner and Swift. It’s got a pretty cool design, to boot, so it’s worth the trouble to breed one with complementary skills.
