Augments have returned in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 after they were introduced with the first season of the chapter and continued on into Season 2. These are perks that offer players extra powers or abilities during Battle Royale or Zero Build matches. A new season means new abilities, so here is the list of new Augments and what do they do in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3.

All The New Augments in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 has added seven new Augments to the pool of perks that can be rolled. Here is the full list of all the new Augments for the season and what each one of them does:

  • Medium Ammo Acquired – Instantly gain medium ammo, then gain more when you open containers.
  • Primal Companion – Gain thermal vision and regenerate Health while riding animals.
  • Reckless Rifle Reload – Assault rifles will reload significantly faster when the magazine is empty.
  • Shell Slide – Gain shotgun shells while sliding.
  • Sprint Lines – Gain a Slap effect upon using grind vines, grind rails, ziplines, or Ascenders.
  • Swift Shotgun Reload – Shotguns will reload faster.
  • Wildwasp Weaponry – Receive some Wildwasp Jars, and gain an additional one with every elimination.

Which Augments are Returning to Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3?

The seven new perks will be joining the 13 Augments returning for this season for a grand total of 20 Augments that players could potentially use during matches. It is important to note that one of the returning perks, Rail Warrior, is now called Traversal Warrior. This perk now works with grind vines, ziplines, and Ascenders in addition to rails.
