Starfield Release Day and Showcase Revealed
Starfield will release on September 6, 2023, for PC and Xbox Series X|S, according to Xbox and Bethesda.
Starfield Release Date
A video within a tweet showed a trailer, and game director Todd Howard spoke after the trailer. The tweet came from Bethesda’s Twitter, but Xbox retweeted another from Starfield with a message about their showcase.
Starfield was previously slated to release during the first half of 2023, but that has changed with a set release date in September.
Howard acknowledged the long wait players have been experiencing, saying, “we know you’ve waited a long time to play something new from us.” So they’re showing fans more to get them ready.

Starfield 2023 Direct
There will be a Starfield Direct on June 11 to show fans more about the game. Howard referenced the old Making of – The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion video, showing that it could be similar. Those interested can watch the courtesy of NeoGamer – The Video Game Archive.
Based on what Howard said, there is a lot that fans haven’t seen, so we assume this will be a lengthy direct. It has been a while since fans received any new information.
Starfield was absent from the January 25 Developer Direct, but that is most likely because Starfield would have taken the spotlight from other games.
The last showcase was incredibly impressive and had features that not many games have today. Starfield’s last showcase showed players more about the planets, aliens, customizable ships, and more.
There was a lot of customization available with the ships, and the planets were all accurate and had cities built on them.
The Starfield showcase comes after an Xbox Showcase on the same day, so fans should be ready for a lot of new information from Microsoft. It is unlikely that Microsoft will make big reveals, as that could overshadow Starfield, but it may still be useful information for fans.
