Microsoft’s New Bar Code Tech to Debut on Xbox 360 Discs

Microsoft has announced that its new multicolor bar code technology will debut on Xbox 360 game discs. The High Capacity Color Barcode format, ideveloped by Microsoft Research, enables higher density storage of data on analog printed media. The format achieves this by using a different barcode symbol shape in combination with multiple colors per symbol.
