Metal Gear Solid Rising’s Lightning Won’t Strike Until 2012

The lightning-bolt action game from Konami will not be releasing in 2011, and instead Metal Gear Solid: Rising will be released in 2012. The game was first announced with a teaser trailer and an appearance of series creator Hideo Kojima, during Microsoft’s keynote speech at E3 2009. The game was then showcased at the Microsoft press event at E3 2010 with a cutscene and some gameplay. We may see it again at E3 2011 as Kotaku has been informed the game will not make release in 2011.
