Hold On Tight – Here We Go Again – RCT is back
All of you who love the thrills, adrenalin and joy of white knuckle rides, tune in. Roller Coaster Tycoon 4 is on its way.
The RCT series started back in 1999 with British Programmer Chris Sawyer and MicroProse. Soon after, the games first expansion was released and by 2002 the game had a sequel. Maintaining the isometric view, the sequel (at least from first view) had changed little. Despite from a change to the underlining mechanics (such as updated graphics, building tools etc) the interface and the game play was basically the same.
If the RCT series was going to take off it needed to be radically updated and in 2004, RCT3 was released. Now being made by Frontier Developments (published by Atari) the game had changed radically from its predecessors. With a new 3D engine, radically updated graphics, game play, building options and loads of other huge changes made the game vastly different from its prequels.
