Has Crisp’ NetModerator gone a step too far?

Crisp Thinking Ltd announced that they have been in talks with The Metropolitan Police and are now using data from them to futher enhance the protection provided by the NetModerator code. Have we gone too far with this step, or is it just what the social media scene needs.
