Lost Planet 2 ‘achievement bug’ solution

Lost Planet 2 only went on sale today, but already many gamers have been reporting that the achievements for completing the game across each difficulty setting won't unlock.

OXM has been playing the game for several days trying to figure it out, and can now report that it isn't a glitch, just a case of some very strange game design.
