In the article "Eyeing E.Y.E.", The Slowdown take a look at E.Y.E., a dystopian cyberpunk/sci-fi/fantasy "50% FPS, 50% RPG, 100% immersion" game from French bedroom developers Streum On Studios.

The developers have, much like Natural Selection, Red Orchestra, Killing Floor and Nuclear Dawn, decided to undertake the long hard road from modification to full retail game, on the Source engine.

In the game, players become a planted spy seeking to discover a traitor in E.Y.E., a twofold group of Secreta Secretorum monks fighting against the Federation.

The article, which contains screenshots and video, attempts to clarify the features present as well as discuss the game’s history and origins, which can be traced back to a 1998 role-playing game called AVA, and a Half-Life 1 modification called Syndicate Black Ops.
