Ace Gamez: Darwinia+ Review

Darwinia’s greatest attribute by far is its charm. Drawing in myriad trappings of gaming and nerd culture, it instantly feels comfortable while still providing a fresh experience. From the Tron-like Mechanic units to the iconic geometric skyline reminiscent of Cannon Fodder (one for our older readers!), a lot of care and attention has been put into making the Darwinians’ world a loving homage to gaming history. The soundtrack, made up of some of the most recognisable computerised beeps, buzzes and that error message (don’t worry, no blue screens of death here!), will have you yearning to dive back into your favourite pre-8bit classics.
