STP: Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Headed to the iPhone

STP writes: "Sonic fans have uncovered an image hidden on the game’s official website that puts to bed the original mystery of what the fourth, previously unannounced, format targeted for release would be. According to the site, not only is iPhone in line for Sonic the Hedgehog 4, it’ll also be with us this July.

"It’s something of a coup for Apple, Sonic having traditionally being tied primarily to Nintendo formats since Sega pulled out of the console business, with numerous releases hitting both Game Boy Advance and DS over the years. Perhaps due to its digital download nature, it’s the iPhone and not DS, or even PSP, that has been chosen to welcome 2D Sonic back into the fold."
