Slightly Sadist? Mass Effect 2’s Lacking in Suck.
The game is perfectly paced and impeccably designed; every area features the guiding hand of the master craftsmen at Bioware. There’s never a wasted moment or unused square inch – a marvel unto itself, but makes the game incredibly deliberate. I never see a codex entry until I am meant to and never unlock an upgrade until I am allowed. The effect is not unlike complete belief in predetermination or a meddlesome deity; I enjoy every second of the ride, but I don’t feel complete ownership over what’s happening.
