Sonic Retrospective part II – Sonic the Hedgehog(8-bit)

Kyle of Insert-Disc continues his look at the Sonic franchise with the Sega Master System and Game Gear version of Sonic the Hedgehog.

"Most people forget that the Sonic games for the Sega Master System and Game Gear even exist. Having the same name as the Genesis games and being on the Master System and Game Gear are probably why. While both of those systems did fine, they were hardly the top of their markets. Also, the titling gives the impression that the games are merely lazy ports to inferior systems, which makes it easier to just assume they’re bad without giving them a chance. However, if you actually give the games a shot, they might surprise you."
