ESG Review: Trine

Platformers are rare to come by today, side-scrolling platformers are even more scarce. But even though the genre is now hard to come by that does not mean that a gem will not come by our way once in a while. As a matter of fact it can be debated that the action platforming genre is making a revival thanks to the new era of digital distribution. Trine is one of those gems, it’s a game that reminds us of our gaming roots. Trine helped me remember what old games had and what new games sorely lack; Charm.
