IGN: SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 Preview

Up until now, the Fireteam Bravo series has been released coincidentally with other new SOCOM console titles, providing direct connectivity between each game and settling players into the immersion of being a SEAL on the front lines of battle. That’s been fine as a way of promoting the features and functionality of Sony hardware, but it’s been a bit limiting as far as releasing new chapters within the series. So instead of trying to connect with Confrontation, Slant Six and SCEA decided to make a new game in the franchise that recreates the console experience on the PSP with a unique storyline and set of features that borrows from older games in the SOCOM franchise. The result is SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3, the upcoming tactical shooter that places a player in charge of commanding a full four-person fireteam in dangerous situations.
