BOYCOTT Videogames that take advantage of DLC

Are you sick of corporations taking advantage of consumers through DLC offers? Are you annoyed that the Joker won’t be playable on Xbox, the Lost and Damned on PS3 or even the fact of having to pre-order Assassins Creed 2 to get the WHOLE experience your entry ‘ticket’ should have paid for?

Please read the petition below and if you feel strongly about paying for content such as costumes that are on the dice for Street fighter 4 or a multiplayer mode for Resident Evil 5, sign and let all those companies know what you think of them.

I love videogames but hate the fact that corporate greed is destroying one of my favourite pastimes whilst gauging the consumer. Sure there is a better way to use DLC, I for one think it should be used to revive lagging sales of a product such as The Force Unleashed, not offer a level exclusive to a disc… what if you bought and supported the original game? I think Lucasarts should be ashamed, especially with the DLC already available, the Jedi Temple level was cut from the game, its obvious as it is in the other formats!?! Please do not treat us, the consumers as idiots, for this reason I am calling a Boycott of these products, as I believe everyone should enjoy the whole experience for the high amount they pay to purchase these products. Not only should PS3 owners and Xbox owners get the same game and content but people who pre-order should get the same content as a consumer who decides to support this product 6 months down the line.

It is a choice and I am asking people whether they purchase products or not to at least sign the petition if they believe this act is ruining gaming. I for one enjoyed Assassins Creeds story and was looking forward to the sequel but have decided not to support these shenanigans of obtaining 2 levels in the ‘single player’ section of the game, surely I should get this regardless of what edition or pre-order I take up? For any other companies that do this I will also not purchase their products in the hope that genuine companies will fix this wrong act.
