Can E3 Outgrow Gaming Journos?
With E3 2009 a seemingly distant memory, Pushing Buttons takes a moment to ruminate on why the show could stand to change, and how gaming journalists may be holding it back:
"E3 remains more Comic-Con than Cannes, which would be fine if there were alternatives beyond the dry Game Developers Conference in March or the E3-qually outrageous Tokyo Game Show across the Pacific. Yet as the industry matures, the hierarchy of the trade show circuit remains virtually the same."
