Games32 writes: "Shellshock 2: Blood Trails remains true to its name and wastes no chance of shocking the player, including some gruesome visuals depicting infected soldiers, over the top violent confrontations that lead to extremely bloody scenes and coarse language. Perhaps a more subtle approach could have better deliver the feeling of terror and unfortunately Shellshock 2 fails as a FPS as well, crippled by weak AI and unresponsive controls."
