Split-Screen Review: OneChanbara the Movie
Split-screen.com writes: "Gentlemen and boys, action figures and toys, we have here an all-encompassing mess of ham-twisted characterization and made-for-TV special effects with the ever-present danger that only brain-grinding boredom can provide. That being said, you’d have to be a little psychopathic to truly hate OneChanbara (Bikini Zombie Slayers), based on the cult D3 action series of the same name. However, director Yôhei Fukuda’s approach falls face first into the zone of serious drama when it should be dancing in the realm of fantasy nonsense. In the midst of an over-simplified Kill Bill-esque revenge plot, besides the slow dripping of blood and cartilage, you’ll come out of this A-Bomb of inanity with only one revelation: You’ve just been mind-raped. And you paid for it."
