You won't be surprised to hear that we're always tracking the latest trends related to Xbox, and one that totally caught us by surprise over the past 24 hours was that Nintendo was "buying Xbox".

Naturally, we had to do a bit of research into this and figure out what was going on. It turns out that a Facebook page known as Nintendo Fans gained a ton of attention from this hoax yesterday, racking up over 1,000 likes, 200 comments and 100 shares on it. It ultimately led to various forms of "Nintendo buys Xbox" becoming easily the biggest Xbox trend of December 29th on Google
