AR/VR Developer created a portal simulation
AR/VR Developer Lee Vermeulen created a portal simulation to move virtual objects between them, using Unity with Varjo XR-3 passthrough AR software.
Lee Vermeulen is an AR/VR Game Developer, who co-founded Alientrap game studio. He posts his experiments with VR simulations on Twitter. That were fluid physics tests in augmented reality. He could interact with the liquid elements and experiment with them using ZibraAI's Zibra Liquids. The author uses a Varjo XR-3 headset.
Not long ago, the creator started some tests with fire simulations. He made a fire on the fingers and created a fire ring.
This time, the AR/VR developer implemented a portal simulation. That allows him to move various virtual objects between them. He scanned his room in augmented reality in advance to look for reflections and used that for the portal rendering. The software he used is Unity with Varjo XR-3 passthrough AR.
The followers belove all of Lee Vermeulen's demos. So, the creator said that he hopes they will start a full AR project, which will include these prototypes. Moreover, he would like to make a YouTube video to explain how a few of these AR prototypes were created.
