IGN: Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium Review
January 2, 2009 – It was a slimmer Christmas. For the first celebration of the December holiday within the Wii’s life span, in 2006, the Virtual Console received five new games — including major hits like Super Castlevania IV, Street Fighter II and the original Super Mario Bros. 2007 wasn’t quite as robust with only three games released, but it was still a perfectly acceptable trio with the excellent Donkey Kong Country 3 and cult classic Blades of Steel as two of the presents. This past Christmas, though, was slimmed down to just one new Virtual Console release — a significant cutback indeed. But, luckily, the quality of the solitary new title more than makes up for the lack in quantity.
