Anyhoo, I wanted to bring up something that I particuarly enjoyed about Killzone 2’s controls, and while it’s pretty minor, it’s also pretty brilliant.

I’m pretty sure breath sniping (holding your breath to steady your aim while sniping in a video game) got started with the first Splinter Cell, and since then tons of games have used it. Killzone 2 has sniping, too, but it opts for a different style of steadying aim. It actually uses the Sixaxis motion sensor, and every minor jolt or tweak of your hand translates into a more jittery aim. SOCOM on PS3 did something similar, but I think Guerrilla has really perfected it. "
