Obsidian’s Upcoming Shrunken-RPG, Grounded, to Feature “Arachnophobia Mode”

You may have heard about Grounded, Obsidian’s upcoming new game.

Looking like a video game adaptation of the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids movie, Grounded sees you get shrunken down to the size of an ant. You then venture out into the wild worlds of your back garden. Obviously, being mere millimetres in height, normal-sized creatures become looming monstrosities. And, for a select sub-section of the game’s potential fan base, that might be a problem.

For you see, if you’ve viewed the trailer, you’ll have spotted the game’s spiders. Obsidian has presented these eight-legged beasts as a stealthy predator who hunts the player down. However, if you suffer from arachnophobia, these segments of the game might be unplayable for you.
