DBPG: Sonic Spinball Review (Sega Genesis)
A unique title, Sonic Spinball uses pinball mechanics to help Sonic fight off Dr Robotnik once again. With some frustrating control issues, it’s not the best game, but there is fun to be found.
The graphics and sound are par for the course for STI developed games. They ar every colorful with some personality, but lack the refinement and tricks of the system such as parallax scrolling and complex dithering are missed. The GEMS system was rushed so it’s not the best soundtrack. With sluggish controls and frustrating level design this is one that nostalgia greatly favors
